Interested applicants have until 5 p.m. MST on June 1, 2018, to submit resumes and other materials to the department. The director manages a department of approximately 300 employees and an annual budget in excess of $39 million whose mission is to conserve, regulate, propagate and protect the wildlife and fish within the state of New Mexico. The fishing license year runs April 1 to March 31. The camp is open to youths ages 11 to 17 who are accompanied by a responsible adult. It will be conducted the weekend of May 4-6, 2018 at the Gorham Scout Ranch near Chimayo. Lodging and meals are free and all equipment is provided. Registration for this camp opportunity opens April 2.
