OFF-HIGHWAY VEHICLE BOARD TO MEET WEDNESDAY, NOV. 18, IN SANTA FE SANTA FE -- The New Mexico Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Advisory Board will meet Wednesday, Nov. 18, in Santa Fe to establish board members' terms, review the state Off-Highway Vehicle Act and discuss budget issues for the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Safety Program. The meeting will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Fisheries Conference Room of the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish headquarters, 1 Wildlife Way, in Santa Fe. In its first meeting since the Department of Game and Fish took over the Off-Highway Vehicle Program, the board will elect officers and establish terms for board members. The board also will discuss prospective changes to the state's off-highway vehicle rules to ensure alignment with current laws. The New Mexico Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Advisory Board is composed of seven members who represent the state’s diverse interests in off-highway recreation and conservation. Members are appointed by the governor. Current members are Dr. David Doezma, Albuquerque; Leo Hubbard, Santa Fe; Murrae Haynes, Santa Fe; Garrett VeneKlasen, Santa Fe; Gerald Chacon, Espanola; Carol Johnson, Glorieta; and Greg McReynolds, Albuquerque.
