OFFICERS SEEK INFORMATION ABOUT POACHED ELK FARMINGTON -- New Mexico Department of Game and Fish investigators are looking for information that would assist them in solving a case in which two spike bull elk were killed around the last week in January, 2009. Game and Fish officers found two spike bull elk carcasses that had been dumped near County Road 4980 south of Bloomfield. The hind quarters may have been taken from one of the elk. The other elk was field dressed and then dumped with no meat taken. The Department offers rewards for information that leads to the arrest or charges against wildlife law violators.
