DEPARTMENT TEMPORARILY CLOSES SEVEN SPRINGS HATCHERY, KIDS POND

SANTA FE – The Department of Game and Fish temporarily has closed all public access to the Seven Springs Fish Hatchery and Kids Pond because of extreme fire conditions in the Jemez Mountains.

The hatchery borders the Santa Fe National Forest, which announced closures to much of the Jemez Ranger District and other areas of the forest beginning Friday morning. Some campgrounds and fishing areas on National Forest lands will remain open with restrictions.
