FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, AUG. 17, 2009: |
NEW MEXICO HUNTERS NEED CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER SANTA FE -- The Department of Game and Fish is reminding hunters who obtain their licenses through private-land authorizations that they must have a Customer Identification Number -- new this year -- before they can purchase a license. Customer ID numbers are free and available online through the "Online License System" on the Department Web site, www.wildlife.state.nm.us, or by visiting a Department office in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Raton, Las Cruces or Roswell. To avoid long lines and delays, the Department encourages hunters to get their ID number before they visit an area office to purchase their license. This year's first major big-game hunt is Aug. 22-24, when 500 hunters are expected to go afield for pronghorn antelope on public and private lands in northeastern New Mexico. For more information, please visit www.wildlife.state.nm.us or call (505) 476-8000. ### |
