CHECK OUT DEPARTMENT BOOTH FEB. 13-15 AT HUNTING AND FISHING SHOW

ALBUQUERQUE -- Hunters and anglers can get the latest information about upcoming seasons, the hunt application process and hunter education at the Bob Gerding Outdoor Adventures Hunting and Fishing Show, Feb. 13-15 at EXPO New Mexico.

Department representatives will be available to explain the new Customer Identification Number that is required for all hunters applying for public-land licenses or permits, or purchasing a license with a private landowner or Valles Caldera authorization. The new 2009-2010 Big Game & Trapper Rules and Information Bookets will be available, and experts will be on hand with advice about drawing odds and good places to hunt and fish.

The Department's Hunter Education Program also will be available to answer questions and help with the indoor pellet gun range provided by the New Mexico Hunter Education Instructors Association.

The 10th annual show will be open from noon to 7 p.m. Feb. 13, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 14, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 15 in the Manual Lujan Building at Expo New Mexico. Admission will be $7 for adults and free for children younger than 12.
