ATTENTION DEER, ELK HUNTERS: HARVEST REPORTS DUE SUNDAY, FEB. 15 The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish is reminding all deer and elk hunters and trappers who held a license/permit to hunt or trap in New Mexico during the 2008-2009 seasons that deadlines for submitting Mandatory Harvest Reports are fast approaching. All deer and elk hunters must file their harvest reports by Sunday, Feb. 15. Hunters who miss the reporting deadline may still report and be eligible for drawings if they report before the drawing deadline and pay an $8 late fee. The next application deadline is April 8, 2009, for public-land deer permits, private-land deer permits in Units 2A, 2B, 2C, 4 and 5A; and draw licenses for elk, pronghorn, antelope, ibex, Barbary sheep, javelina and bighorn sheep.
