License Updates


Draw 1 (Bear and Turkey) and Draw 2 (Big Game) applications are now being accepted! Draw 1 closes Feb. 12, and Draw 2 closes Mar. 19. Click Here.

Draw results will be released on April 23, 2025. Click here and log in to access results. Draw permits must be validated by purchase of an OTC license.

Licenses are available online, by phone (888-248-6866), or in person at license vendors and NMDGF offices. Print from your account or request a copy from vendors or ispa@state.nm.us.

All Big-game & turkey licenses also require a carcass tag (unless E-Tag chosen).

Alerts

The presence of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, has been detected at Holloman Lake, located near Alamogordo. The New Mexico Department of Health encourages anyone who consumed or captured wildlife from Holloman Lake between 2010-2024 to contact their healthcare provider should they have any concerns. Hunting and fishing are not permitted at Holloman Lake; however, the lake remains open for birding and camping. For more information, please refer to the New Mexico Environment Department’s report regarding PFAS at Holloman Lake or NMDOH’s health advisory.

All NMDGF offices will be closed Jan. 1, 2025.

WEATHER DELAYS AND CLOSURES: Each NMDGF office follows delays and closures issued by the local school district. Please check the link below before visiting us, especially during the winter months:

Samples are submitted on a rolling basis roughly every 2 weeks. All samples collected before 12/01/23 have been submitted for testing. We are currently awaiting results. The CWD page can be found here.
