Tres Piedras Shooting Range Rules
- Location: 36.595139, -105.910767.
- From 4-way intersection in Tres Piedras, go 3.4 miles east on highway 64. There will be a closed gate on the south side of the road that you must open. (please close the gate after entering). From the gate you will continue straight on the road for exactly 2 miles. The road dead ends at the range parking lot.
- Hours: Dawn to Dusk. Open year round except for the first Monday of the month in January, April, July, October for maintenance.
- Cost: Free.
- Offerings:
- 200-yard range with 3 shooting benches.
- There are currently no target stand foundations. You will need to bring your own target. (please do not shoot at objects that leave debris, and take objects with you once you finish).
- No facilities on site.

General SMBM Shooting Range Rules
The Department would like to offer a special thank you to Susie M. Bush for the donation of the property and funds to construct the range.
- Location: 53 Lake Hwy, Clayton, NM, 88415.
- Hours: Dawn to Dusk. Open year-round except closed on the third Wednesday of every month for maintenance.
- Cost: Free
- Offerings:
- 200-yard rifle range: covered shooting line with benches. Target foundations at 25, 50, 100, and 200 yards.
- Click Here to construct a basic target holder.
- 50-yard smallbore range: covered shooting line with benches. Target foundations at 25 and 50 yards.
- 50-yard pistol range: covered firing line. Uncovered firing lines at 3, 7, 15 and 25 yards.
- Primitive areas mowed down for archery and shotgun. (No targets or throwing machines are provided, please bring what you need to shoot).
- Two vault toilets.
- Picnic tables.

- $8.00 per round (25 clays) – Adult.
- $6.00 per round (25 clays) – Youth.
- $5.00 per round (25 clays) – User agreements with Youth Organizations for scheduled events.
- Sporting Clays
- $ .50 per clay – $25.00 for 50 or $50.00 for 100 – Adult.
- $ .40 per clay – $20.00 for 50 or $40.00 for 100 – Youth.
- $ .30 per clay – User agreements with Youth Organizations for scheduled events.
- Archery and Indoor Air Gun Range
- $15.00 per day (6 hrs) – Adult.
- $5.00 for 1 hr or $10.00 for 3hrs – Adult.
- $5.00 per day per person – Scheduled sanctioned events.

- (4) Trap/skeet overlay fields.
- 12-station sporting clays course.
- Indoor and outdoor archery ranges.
- Indoor airgun range.

The Department and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Office of Conservation Investment, provided funding to construct a 5-stand range and new warehouse.
- Location: 9617 Broadway SE Albuquerque, New Mexico 87105.
- Hours: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday 4 hours per day.
- Cost: 5-stand $10 per round (unregistered targets) or $15 per round of 5-stand (NSCA registered targets).
- $9 per round of trap (non-members). $7 per round of trap (members).
- Offerings:
- 6 trap fields.
- (1) 5-stand range with 8 clay target throwers.

Mesilla Valley also offers 5-stand shotgun and sporting clays.
- Location: 13500 N. Frontage Road, Las Cruces, NM 88007.
- Hours:
- Trap and Skeet – Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 9:00AM-Noon.
- 5-Stand – First Saturday of the month 9:00AM-Noon.
- Sporting Clays – February – October, Third Saturday of the month 9:00AM-Noon.
- Cost:
- Trap and Skeet – $6 for members or $7 for non-members per round.
- 5-Stand – $7 for members, $10 for non-members per round.
- Sporting Clays – $40 for members or $50 for non-members per round.
Statewide Ranges
The Department recommends shooters call the range for hours, fee structure, membership requirements and type and caliber of firearms allowed. The Bureau of Land Management has several areas designated for shooting. Contact your local BLM district office for locations https://www.blm.gov/contact/new-mexico.
