Department staff will conduct classroom fishing discussions with Mesa View Elementary third-graders. Staff will cover the basics of fishing such as rod and reel assembly, knot-tying and understanding bait, hooks and weights. Students will become familiar with New Mexico fish species, catch-and-release techniques and fishing safety in preparation for their scheduled fishing day. This event is closed to the public.
