The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, in conjunction with New Mexico Outdoor Adventures, will host a beginner family Small Game Hunting Camp at El Caso Forest Service campground, near Quemado Lake, on Sept. 26-28, 2025. Campers will be provided with everything from instruction to gear to meals. Campers will need to provide their own hunting licenses, tent or wheeled camper, sleeping bag and sleeping pad. We will have a reserved group camping area at the campground. Open to families with little or no hunting experience and who have never hunted squirrels.

Registration will open at 8 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025. It will close when the camp is full. Please only register if you have not previously attended this camp.
