Fishing with Texico Elementary
March 25 - March 26
Department volunteers will be going over rod assembly, knot-tying, casting, fishing ettiquette, hook and water safety, bails, flies and fishing with 42 third-graders from two classes at Texico Elementary. This will be a two-part lesson. Part 1 on March 25 will consist of knot-tying and casting with the Backyard Bass kit at the school. Part 2 on March 26 will be a fishing day at Oasis Lake State Park. This event is closed to the public.
