Department staff will be instructing a group of 26 students in grades K-6 on the basics of catching and fishing. This lesson will be conducted in the gymnasium next to the library. Topics to be covered include an introduction to rod-and-reel assembly, casting and fishing with an emphasis on safety. Other topics may include learning a knot, talking about what trout eat and discussing New Mexico sportfishing. This event is closed to the public.
