New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Public contact, Information Center: (888) 248-6866 Media contact: Dan Williams: (505) 476-8004 dan.williams@state.nm.us FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, JAN. 18, 2018: Public meeting will discuss plan for controlled pile burn near Eagle Nest EAGLE NEST – The Department of Game and Fish will conduct a public meeting Monday, Jan. 22 in Eagle Nest to discuss a controlled pile burn in the Colin Neblett Wildlife Management Area west of Eagle Nest Lake. The meeting will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Eagle Nest Community Center, 151 Willow Creek Drive, in Eagle Nest. Participants will learn what to expect from the pile burn. The pile burn is the second phase of a project to prevent catastrophic wildfire and improve wildlife habitat. The awards are in recognition of outstanding achievements and contributions to wildlife conservation in New Mexico.
