The meeting will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at the Kachina Lodge, 413 Paseo del Pueblo Norte in Taos. The meeting previously was scheduled to be at the Harwood Museum of Art, 238 Ledoux St., in Taos. The commission will consider numerous matters during the meeting including a discussion of management plans for hunting, fishing and trapping on the Valles Caldera National Preserve following its recent transfer to the National Park Service. Sandoval, currently the department’s chief financial officer and Administrative Services Division chief, was selected among four finalists chosen after a nationwide search that began Jan. 24 and ended March 24. Sandoval began her career with the department in 1994 as a district wildlife officer (game warden) in Roswell and Clayton. She went on to become a wildlife specialist, federal grant manager, licensing supervisor and Administrative Services Division chief and chief financial officer.
