DESCRIPTION:This course is open to students of any age seeking hunter education certification to meet hunting requirements in New Mexico. This course is an instructor-led student course that incorporates lecture\, video\, hands-on break-out sessions\, review methods and homework to educate students. Students 10 and under must have a parent or adult present with them during class. All registered students MUST complete the Today’s Hunter student manual homework before participating in class. The manual can be downloaded for free at www.hunter-ed.com/newmexico/manual/ or students can pick up a free hard copy manual at the Eagle Nest Lake State Park Visitor’s Center. Students are required to turn in their completed manual worksheets upon arrival to class. \nRegistration opens on Feb. 10 at 9 a.m. and is conducted online through the student’s Customer ID Number (CIN) Account. Once in the account\, click on Hunter Education then click the Register for Hunter Ed Classes button and follow the prompts.

SUMMARY:Fly Fishing 101 Class
DESCRIPTION:This class is open to any lady who is interested in learning the basics of fly fishing. The morning session will focus on fly fishing equipment selection\, knot tying\, selecting lures/flies\, casting instruction and general discussions on where to go. The afternoon session will be on the water! Casting and fishing instruction will be provided by professional fishing guides and Trout Unlimited -Enchanted Circle Chapter volunteers. Loaner equipment will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own if they have it. \nThis class will be offered by volunteers from the Enchanted Circle Chapter of Trout Unlimited. \nRegistration is available here. Slots will be filled on a first-come\, first-serve basis. To qualify for the camp\, participants must have a Customer Identification Number account with the department and complete the required homework before attending.
