DESCRIPTION:Department staff will be instructing a Kindergarten and first-grade class on the basics of casting and fishing. This lesson will be conducted on the playground area at Bandelier Elementary. Topics to be covered will be an introduction to rod and reel assembly\, casting and fishing with an emphasis on safety. We may also spend some time learning a knot\, talking about what trout eat\, and discussing New Mexico sportfishing\, specifically coldwater fish. This event is closed to the public.
