SUMMARY:Ladies Fly Fishing 101 Class
DESCRIPTION:This class is open to any lady interested in learning the basics of fly fishing. This session will focus on fly fishing equipment selection\, knot tying\, selecting lures/flies\, reading the water for best catching results\, skills to hook\, land and release a fish\, what you need before you go and much more! This is a BYOL (bring your own lunch event). This class will be offered by volunteers from the Bosque Chapter of Trout Unlimited and no equipment is required. \nRegistration opens April 14 at 9 a.m. to 24 participants at https://forms.office.com/g/TMnv8NdTMm. SUMMARY:Casting with Nuestra Tierra Bows in Burque Event
DESCRIPTION:New Mexico Department of Game and Fish Aquatic Education Program staff will be working on casting skills with Nuestra Tierra at the “Bows in Burque” children’s youth event on May 3\, 2025. The casting skills will be one of three stations along with the NMDGF archery program and the NMDGF Conservation Education Animal hides and tracks display. \n*Registration is required\, and spots are limited. For any questions\, email: laura@nuestra-tierra.org \nBy attending this event\, you consent to being photographed and/or recorded. These images and videos may be used for promotional purposes\, including but not limited to social media\, websites\, and marketing materials for Nuestra Tierra Conservation Project. All youth participants (ages 18 and under) must be accompanied by a supervising parent or guardian throughout the entire duration of this event. The individual completing the registration process assumes full responsibility for those in their party.
